TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) which is the Gas Subholding of PT Pertamina (Persero), successfully scored a positive performance in the first semester of 2022, both operational performance and financial performance.

President Director PGNM Haryo Yunianto said, net profit the current year attributable to the parent entity recorded an increase to 238.6 million US dollars or equivalent to Rp 3.45 trillion (assuming an exchange rate of Rp 14,450 per US dollar).

In the same period in the previous year, PGN’s net profit was recorded at 196.5 million US dollars.

“In the first semester of 2022, PGN managed to continue the positive performance. The Company’s strategic efforts and the recovery of operational performance have succeeded in making a positive contribution to financial performance,” said Haryo in a statement in Jakarta, Friday (23/9/2022).

For the performance of gas trading volume, it was recorded that it reached 930 billion british thermal units per day (BBTUD) including the contribution from the volume of the Terminal Usage Agreement. This figure increased by 4.1 percent compared to the same period the previous year.

Meanwhile, the transmission volume is 1,358 Million Standard Cubic Feet per Day (million standard cubic feet per day/MMSCFD).

In addition, from the upstream side, it contributed by an increase in the volume of oil and gas lifting during the first semester of 2022 to 28,792 barrels of oil equivalent per day (oil equivalent per day/BOEPD) from 21,610 BOEPD as well as an increase in the Indonesian crude price (ICP).

The achievement of oil transportation performance showed a very significant increase of 27,289 BOEPD from the previous 9,321 BOEPD.

Likewise, the performance of LPG processing reached 140 tons per day compared to the same period in the previous year of 114 tons per day.

Haryo continued, in terms of customer growth, there was an increase in the number of customers which reached 759,371 consisting of 754,998 households, 2,504 industrial and commercial, and 1,869 small customers.

“PGN, in its role as Subholding Gas, will continuously carry out operational and investment activities in order to create a multiplier effect for the national economy,” said Haryo.
