TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – Foreign defender Persija Jakarta, Ondrej Kudela never thought that he could be called back to the Czech Republic National Team.

At the age of 35 years on March 26, Ondrej Kudela never thought that he would be able to return to the uniform of the Czech national team after joining the Indonesian League 1 club, Persija.

“No one thought about it (returning to the Czech national team),” said Ondrej Kudela while smiling, in an interview session with isport which aired on Thursday (22/9/2022).

“It’s more fun, I’m with the national team, which is an honor,” said the player who is familiarly called Kudy.

Kudela arrived in Jakarta on June 21 and became the first foreign player to join the team nicknamed the Kemayoran Tiger.

Two days later, on June 23, his compatriot, Michael Krmencik, followed and arrived in his homeland and joined the Kemayoran Tigers.

Indeed, Kudela has been a regular in the Czech national team since U-17, it was noted that he was always called up in all age groups.

His best achievement while defending the Czech national team was to become runner-up at the 2007 U-20 World Cup, after being defeated 1-2 by Tango Team, Argentina in the final round.
