TRIBUNNEWS.COM, CALIFORNIA – Meta’s messaging service app, WhatsApp is working on a new feature that allows users to edit messages that have been sent.
The Edit Messages feature, which is currently reportedly still in development, was found in the WhatsApp beta update for Android 18.104.22.168.
This feature will likely come with a future update. Before the official launch, this feature will be available for beta testing first.
Launching from Live Mint, until now it is not certain how this feature will work.
There is a possibility WhatsApp can display the “Edit” label in the pop-up menu after long pressing the text you want to edit.
In addition, the ability to edit messages in WhatsApp may be available for a limited period of time after the user presses the submit button.
This capability will bring new privacy options in app settings, allowing users to manage who can see their “online” status.
“Seeing when friends or family are on line helps us feel connected to each other, but we all have times when we want to check WhatsApp us personally. For those times you want to keep your presence a secret on line You, we introduced the ability to choose who can and can’t see your moment on line. It will start rolling out to all users this month,” said WhatsApp when announcing the feature.
