Where, the statement was made by Bamsoet when the Poltracking Indonesia survey was released about public satisfaction with the administration of President Jokowi and Vice President KH Ma’ruf Amin.
The man who is familiarly called Bamsoet said that after his statement he received many protests from various groups.
According to Bamsoet, his statement in the survey was twisted too far.
“First, what is said in the comments on the news is twisting it too far,” said Bamsoet, Saturday (10/12/2022).
The Golkar Party politician also asked questions about himself, who were said to have asked for a postponement 2024 election. In fact, Bamsoet admitted that he did not mention this.
He only asked to think about the potential for security disturbances and indications of a conflict ahead of 2024.
“Second, who asked for the postponement of the election? I only asked to think. It’s not permissible to even think,” said Bamsoet.
Bamsoet is also aware that the election stages are ongoing. Unless there is something extraordinary as regulated in the constitution and law.
For example, natural and non-natural factors, war and others that make elections unable to be carried out in whole or in part.
“I’m just inviting you to think. You can’t even think about it,” he said.
Bamsoet also welcomes if there are parties who want to make amendments.
However, all requirements must be fulfilled as stipulated in the constitution. Including when they want to return to the original 1945 Constitution.
“Those who do not agree, go ahead with their arguments. What is certain, we currently in the MPR have agreed not to take the amendment route to re-present the PPHN (State Policy Points) as a blueprint or guiding star for Indonesia’s long-term leadership so that it is sustainable and sustainable,” said Bamsoet.
He also admitted that he had opened a public discourse for the public to convey their input and criticism. Of course, with the hope of not bringing an element of anger.
“What is certain, our constitution has clearly regulated, elections are held every five years. The presidential term is five years, a maximum of two terms,” said Bamsoet.
“Want to amend is also not an easy thing to do. It has to be with clear reasons. Which article to amend is accompanied by clear arguments and academic studies,” he explained.
“Not only that. The important condition is that it must be supported by at least 1/3 MPR members, totaling 711 out of 9 factions in the DPR and 136 DPD members and to reach a quorum it must be attended by 2/3 MPR members. So it’s not easy. One or two Even if the faction is not present, the MPR session cannot continue,” said Bamsoet.
