TRIBUNNEWS.COM – Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star, Neymar opened his voice about his future in the Brazilian national team after losing in the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup to the Croatian national team, Friday (9/12/2022).

The Brazilian national team lost on penalties to Croatia with a score of 4-2 after 120 minutes of the match drew 1-1 at the Education Stadium, Qatar.

After the match, Neymar was confused when asked about whether or not he was still defending the Samba Team after losing the 2022 World Cup in an interview.

“Honestly, I don’t know. I think talking now is bad because of the heat of the moment. Maybe I’m not thinking clearly,” Neymar said. ESPN.

“I’m going to take some time to think about this, think about what I want for myself. I’m not closing the door on playing with Brazil, nor am I saying 100 per cent to come back,” the 30-year-old added.

But before getting to the fifth kicker, the Brazilian national team already lost as a shot from Rodrygo was saved by Croatian keeper Dominik Livakovic and Marquinhos’ effort hit the post.

Neymar was visibly emotional after his third World Cup dream was dashed for the third time, and the second in a row in the quarter-finals.

Brazil reached the quarter-finals at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, where they were beaten by Belgium.

Neymar has scored 77 goals and 56 assists in 124 appearances for Brazil.

Neymar has collected trophies including two LaLiga titles, one Champions League trophy, four Ligue 1 titles and one Copa Libertadores.
