TRIBUNNEWS.COM – The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has released an early weather warning for today, Saturday (10/12/2022).

BMKG estimates that rain has the potential to flush 26 regions in Indonesia.

Tropical Cyclone 92W was observed in the Pacific Ocean north of West Papua with a wind speed of 20 knots and a pressure of 1004.4 mb moving to the northwest.

This system has the potential to grow into a tropical cyclone in the next 24 hours which is in the low category.

This system forms a convergence/convergence area that extends from the Philippines to the Pacific Ocean east of the Philippines.

This system also induces the formation of areas of increasing wind speeds of more than 25 knots (low level jets) that extend across the Pacific Ocean east of the Philippines.

Low Pressure Centers are observed in the Natuna Sea and the Indian Ocean west of Banten which form a convergence area extending from Riau to Kep. Riau, and in the Indian Ocean west of Banten and induce the formation of a low level jet elongated in the South China Sea.

These conditions can increase the growth potential of rain clouds, wind speed, and sea wave height around the tropical cyclone seed area, low pressure areas and along the convergence/low level jet areas.

Cyclonic circulation was observed in the northern waters of Papua. Other convergences were observed extending from Aceh to West Sumatra, from Bengkulu to Kep. Bangka Belitung, in West Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, and in Papua.

These conditions can increase the growth potential of rain clouds around the cyclonic circulation area and along the convergence area.

Areas with the potential for rain which may be accompanied by lightning and strong winds are:

• West Nusa Tenggara

• East Kalimantan

• North Maluku
