TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – Republic Indonesia and the Republic of Korea or as it is better known South Korea officially launched the 50th anniversary logo diplomatic relationship both countries.

The launch was packaged in an event entitled ‘Indonesia-Korea Morning Talk: Celebrating 50 Years of Friendship’ at the office Ministry of Foreign Affairs RI, Jakarta, Thursday, 26 January 2023.

“This is a very good moment, because today we have just launched a new logo for the 50th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Indonesia and Korea,” said the Ambassador Indonesia (Indonesian Ambassador) for South Korea, Gandi Sulistiyanto.

At the event the Minister of Foreign Affairs Indonesia (RI Minister of Foreign Affairs) Retno Marsudi called for closer friendship and partnership, including in building a greener and more sustainable economy and promoting peace and prosperity in the Indo Pacific region.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister South KoreaJin Park, underlined that not only trade and investment cooperation is increasing but cultural and creative collaboration between people with people is developing.

In his video message, Foreign Minister Park also invited the public Indonesia and South Korea to unite in the spirit of mutual cooperation to forge closer friendships and stronger partnerships.

The official launch of the logo was carried out at this auspicium event.

The event aims to reflect on the outstanding achievements of 50 years of friendship and define and define ways to advance cooperation in the coming decades.

Considering the important role of the younger generation in strengthening relations between the two countries, the Government Indonesia and South Korea holding a logo and slogan design competition since October 2022.

This competition is designed to raise awareness among the general public about relationships Indonesia-South Korea.

Of the hundreds of registrants, the committee is proud to announce Mr. Agus Istianto as the winner of the competition.

It was then announced that Mr. Wahyu Purnomo and Mr. Hendrick Ferdiansyah were the runners-up.

The winning design embodies the long-standing friendship between the two nations, which can be seen from the Garuda bird motif which symbolizes the national symbol Indonesia and the Taegeuk circle representing the coat of arms South Korea.
